Welcome to KALLOS!

Like every woman who owns her own "business", I suffer from insomnia, so I spend the wee hours of the night analyzing and thinking about how to improve my business.
Besides worrying about work, there are the kids, husband, dog, a couple of best friends who actually see me (except in pictures 😉), school, kindergarten, parenting (which I never get to). Bank, tax office, factories, customs, imports, taxes, surtaxes, sanitary, GDPR, technical requirements, accountant
Taking care of the salon (thanks Andrea, who handles everything while I'm flying around😊)
Distributors, educators, ambassadors, students, clients...
Facebook, Instagram, Google, emails, Viber, WhatsApp, SMS, texts, photos, Photoshop (which, of course, NOBODY uses🤔), screenshots, rumors, criticism, praise, gossip, nonsense.... A TON of "invisible" things that happen behind the scenes of a company.

Today it no longer matters whether you are first or last. It doesn't matter how long you have been in something. What matters is how you deal with what you have.

Having your own "business" is not easy. No matter what profession it is, work is work and requires responsibility.
Therefore, if you are not responsible and are not ready for the constant stress and worry about paying your salary every month, think again.

First thing, business hours!
You must have it.
The beauty industry is still one of the fastest growing in this decade (thanks to society as a whole, social networks, and trends that are created at an unreal speed)
If you become a slave to your own work and don't understand that no one can give you back your time, kiss your mental (and physical) health goodbye.
Every beginning is difficult and it takes time to make some progress, but the best foundation for success is RULES.
The rule is that you work a certain number of hours a day and that clients get used to your schedule.
Success is not measured solely in money.
Success is having a job and earning some money, and then having free time in which you can choose whether (and how) you want to spend that money.

"Society is society, and service is service"
This much-repeated slogan should be a guiding principle for all of us, because there is no greater truth than that.
Professionalism is appreciated.
This work is done out of love, but it also doesn't allow for great emotions.
Beauty treatments are paid services, and as long as someone is paying you for your work, they are a client, not a friend.
My friend works at the store too, but that doesn't mean I can come in and get something for free (unless she gives me an occasional discount).

Showdowns over wild Facebook statuses!
We all have bad days and bad minutes, but this is one of the worst methods if you want to attract clients.
Thanks to GDPR, public name-calling is no longer allowed on social media, and be grateful for that, because the EU has prevented you from burying yourself with frivolous statements (I've had my "pearls" in the past, but luckily, I quickly got serious about it)
The best way to communicate is a direct conversation or telephone call, where each party explains the problem that has arisen.
Everyone makes a mistake, an oversight, a missed appointment...it's all for people. It's not pleasant, but it's not something that can't be resolved with a civilized conversation.

You can't do it all alone!
Remember, you can't be the best at everything. You're not Superman💪
We are women, we can do many things at the same time (girl power🤘), but only do what you are best at and dedicate yourself to it.
If you want success, then create a team of people and let everyone do what they enjoy doing.
If you are a salon owner, don't force your employees to do something they are average at (and have no desire to go beyond that) because then your salon won't be above average either.
What I often see in my trainings are girls who were forced to come, and they are terrified of tweezers near their eyes.
Result: Most often I hear that they quit or got fired. Unfortunately.

One very personal thing, but I'll mention it anyway, is planning for children.
It's never the "right" time until it happens. And when it does, all the pieces fall into place.
There are always just a few more loan installments left, there is always just this job left or just this or that to get done... And we are always afraid that we won't be able to do it.
But everything ALWAYS ends well.
And our children sometimes spend hours and days with us in the salons.
And we pass them on from grandparents to neighbors and friends.
But, EVERYTHING ends well, because then you have even greater motivation and desire to succeed.

Competition!
The best thing that can happen to you is to have good competition.
That you have "opponents" who are good at their job and push you to go further.
They prevent you from sinking into a routine and stop getting the best out of yourself.
Respect every colleague, even the one who "yells" at you every day, because then you know you matter.
Mind your own business and work on yourself, don't waste your energy (and internet😂) on other people.

Fair play sounds like something abstract, how rare it is nowadays, BUT, it brings you a peaceful sleep (at least for those few hours😉) and personal satisfaction, and that is SUCCESS.

At the end of the ballad...I have no conclusion!
I simply wanted to write something that got a little lost in all this "home-work-home" chaos.
We work to live, not the other way around.
Another's success is not our failure.
Anything is possible when you want it.
And as JT says from the picture, "What goes around, comes back around"
Enjoy your workday and be your best today ❤️
Xx
