Welcome to KALLOS!

Yesterday was a "tough" day on beauty forums . Fear and panic, ignorance or lack of information, once again took their toll and turned people into blaming each other.
Beauticians, hairdressers, lash & nail technicians, take a step back and take a breath.
Let's think about the situation.
ABOUT THE NEW SITUATION.
It is very important that WE ALL UNDERSTAND TOGETHER that the times ahead will not be the same as before.
In the next few years, nothing will be the same again.
Let's start with social distancing. That's right, we will no longer shake hands, hug and kiss.
"Kisses, hello!" will remain just words.
All of humanity is entering a new era of social behavior that will be different from anything we have been accustomed to.
Let's start with the prices of masks, protection, disinfectants...
Masks for 0.30 lipa are becoming a thing of the past. Not because sellers in Croatia decided to be war profiteers, but because cheaper imports to Croatia are not possible. Because the producing countries have decided WHO they want to sell to and who they will not allow to sell to. This is called the law of supply and demand, in which a small Croatia has no chance. Masks for 8-10 kn are becoming our new REALITY and we all have to get used to it - both us and our clients. What does that mean?
This means that beauty salons will include an additional HRK 10 in the price of their services to provide each client with a mask (if a law is passed that every client must have a mask). Or clients will bring their own masks (because those masks will be mandatory to enter some other institutions anyway).
In short, life under masks has been a metaphor until now, but now we will literally live it that way.
So, everyone will be required to wear masks and they won't be thrown at anyone from the sky, they will be very expensive to pay for and take care of. Dear clients, if you are reading, I hope you understand that this situation has affected all of us equally and that the new rules apply to both US and YOU.
Disinfectants will follow this price increase for the same reasons. If you have had excellent hygiene measures in your salons so far, you will not change much, except that you will now spend more money on disinfection. If the measures that are being suggested are to be believed, the number of clients in salons will be limited and work will generally be carried out with much greater precautions.
Suma sumarum - this type of business will lead to higher costs, and a reduced amount of daily earnings.
In this situation, it is unrealistic to expect a salon to lower prices.
It won't be easy. Wrong moves could definitely topple the beauty industry, which has been dancing on the edge of ruin for a long time anyway due to the price of its services. Let's be collegial. Let's create a community where the industry will "fight" together and raise standards, not fight each other with lower prices.
The loss of some clients is also expected in the coming period. Fear of the unknown or job loss certainly influences people to change some of their habits. Calm down. Everything will fall into place. Every situation requires adjustment, right? Give everyone time to get used to the fact that everything will be the same, but DIFFERENT. We will live normally, but differently. We will go to work, to school, to socialize normally, but everything will still be abnormal.
But nothing will be impossible. You thought you wouldn't survive 30 days in isolation, and here we are, alive, maybe even stronger and smarter. Did you think you'd never experience being a prisoner in your own home? Something new, different, and now after so many weeks, it seems almost normal.
Anyway... Don't turn on each other. Don't waste time on nonsense. It's ridiculous.
Don't waste your energy on what you can't change, but focus it on creating something NEW. Something that makes sense.
Let's stay home a little longer. It's not that bad.
(unless you have 2 schoolchildren🙈, then you're like me... locked in the bathroom, enjoying some peace and quiet😉)

Xx
